Rob Tempelman
Rob Tempelman is the founder of Legalwize and a highly experienced legal professional with more than 25 years of international experience across a wide range of organisations, from start-ups and SMEs to listed multinational companies. He is known for his pragmatic, energetic and results-driven approach, combining strong legal expertise with a clear understanding of commercial realities and business needs.
Throughout his career, Rob has built a strong reputation as a trusted legal adviser and contract specialist, with particular expertise in commercial contracting, contract management, technology, and ICT-related legal matters. He has worked in both permanent and interim roles and has supported organisations across sectors including ICT, telecommunications, energy, e-mobility, insurance, research, procurement and outsourcing.
Rob held senior interim legal and contract management positions at well-known organisations including Wortell, DXC Technology, ABB E-mobility, RWE Renewables, a.s.r., IMC, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Canon, TNO, Colt and BT.
His work has included drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of agreements. He also has extensive experience in contract optimisation, privacy & data protection and legal process improvement.
What sets Rob apart is his ability to combine legal depth with practical problem-solving. He quickly identifies contractual bottlenecks, legal risks and operational challenges, and translates these into workable legal and business solutions. He understands how to support business growth while safeguarding legal interests and mitigating risk.
Rob holds a Dutch law degree (LLM) from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he specialised in Information Technology and Law. He has further strengthened his expertise through postgraduate and professional training in areas such as telecommunications law, outsourcing, software licensing, negotiation and data protection. In 2018, he became a PECB Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO).
